About Us

Meet the team:

Emma Kelly BSc (Hons) – Optometrist

Emma joined the Ochil Eyes team in 2016. She studied at Glasgow Caledonian University and qualified as an optometrist in 2010. She has quickly become a valued member of the team and has a keen interest in pathology. She is currently studying Independent Prescribing at Glasgow Caledonian University. Outside of work, Emma is mum to two lovely young children and a crazy little Puggle (pug/beagle cross) called Roody and enjoys spending time with her family and keeping fit.

Samantha Cameron – Practice Manager

Samantha is our practice manager and has been working in practice since 2007. She has been with us at Ochil Eyes since the day we opened on 3rd of May 2010. Since then she has forged lasting relationships with many members of the local community.  She is responsible for the day to day running of the practice and is our senior dispenser. She successfully completed her qualification in Level 3 Optical Practice Support in 2014 and is currently studying for an HNC in Business through the University of the Highlands and Islands. Away from work, Samantha is a keen football fan and follows her team all over the country at weekends. She also loves walking and attending fitness classes at her local gym.

Susy Nimmo – Optical Assistant

Susy joined us in September 2014. She successfully passed the Level 5 Certificate in Optical Care in 2015. She now works full time in the practice. Away from work, Susy is an extremely talented artist specialising in pet portraits. You can view her work on her website www.susynimmo.com. She has two dogs herself, a Labradoodle called Aitken and a Cockapoo called Juno who keep her very busy with walks. She is also a member of the Dollar Events Committee and is involved in the organisation and running of the hugely popular Dollar Gala and Dollar Winter Festival.

Samantha Nimmo – Optical Receptionist

Samantha joined us in January 2017. Samantha mainly works in the practice on a Saturday and is currently enjoying a year out before starting University in Stirling in September studying English with Psychology. She’s taken a keen interest in travelling and is spending much of the summer  travelling across Europe. We hope to have her back regularly once she begins her studies.
